Q. My son is filing for bankruptcy protection. Both he and my daughter are authorized credit card users on some of my credit cards. Will my daughter and my credit scores be impacted when he files?
A. No. An authorized signer is not responsible for the payment on a credit card. When you applied for the credit card in your name and it was approved, you became the primary person responsible for the account.
